Community Events

My favorite ongoing event is the Blue Rapids Veterans' Day Parade. I became lead coordinator in 2010 and continue to provide support as needed.

Family Memories

Capturing memories for families is a way to keep my photography and photo editing skills sharp and current. The above photo is the first and only photoshoot I have taken from the air.

Down to Business

Working with businesses to creat content and events is either great fun, or just plain necessary. The above photo was great fun!

Community Events

The Annual Veteran's Day Parade in Blue Rapids, Kansas and The Great White Way Auto Run continue to present day. Both events were founded by members of the Blue Rapids Historical Society. Included here are photos of one of the permanent installations I built for the museum, and photos from other events where I was a researcher, script writer, and living history performer.

Cool car/truck photos were taken in conjunction with my job at Boss Motors Ford, Marysville, KS. Greg Boss is a fantastic guy! He continues to try to participate in community events. Some of the events are annual, others were once-in-a-lifetime like the Topeka Orchestra performing at Alcove Springs. I was in charge of coordinating transportation for over 1000 people from the parking areas to the concert location. Greg will happily provide a reference, however, there are some days when his memory is a bit fuzzy.

Some photos in this gallery were taken by Tom Parker. Tom was typically present for local events and was gracious to provide photography services when I was busy with other duties. His photos are watermarked in the lower right corner. Tom is retired, but his wife Lori is able to take calls and would be happy to provide me with a reference to anything related to the museum, the Orchestra on the Oregon Trail event, or KWW Auto Run. Family Memories

Both formal portraits and candid photos are included here. There were hundreds of photos to choose from, some from happy moments, others from goofy family traditions, some from Celebrations of Life. Several of the photos were used to promote community events. I have only included shots from clients who have posted publicly on social media. If you really look closely, you will see a tornado forming in the background of one of the senior photos.
